Presidency of Meteorology and Environment holds regional meeting

Jeddah, August 09, SPA -- On behalf of President General of
Meteorology and Environment Protection Prince Turki bin Nasser bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Assistant President General Dr. Samir Bukhari
opened here today the regional meeting for discussing renewable
energy strategy and the status of energy sector in the Arab world in
cooperation with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural
Organization (ISESCO) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Samir Bukhari conveyed the
greetings of Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz to the
participants.

During the meeting, the Assistant Undersecretary for Environment
Affairs Dr. Abdulbaset Sairafi was elected as a president for this
regional meeting.

The meeting was attended by delegations from several countries
including Egypt, Kuwait, Yemen, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia,
Pakistan and Nigeria in addition to experts from Saudi universities.
