Medvedev meets with chairwoman of Indian National Congress.

NEW DELHI, December 21 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev, who is in India on an official visit, met on Tuesday with the
chairwoman of the Indian National Congress, Sonia Gandhi, who also heads
the ruling United Progressive Alliance.
Earlier, the Russian president met with Indian opposition leader
Sushma Swaraj. The meeting was held at the Taj Palace Hotel, where the
Russian leader is staying. Sushma Swaraj represents the leading opposition
party of India - the Bharatiya Janata Party (Indian People's Party).
Medvedev also met with Vice President Hamid Ansari.
Earlier on Tuesday, Medvedev had talks with Indian Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh and took part in a ceremony to sign a package of
intergovernmental documents.
