Prince Nawaf bin Faisal issues statement

Riyadh, August 09, SPA -- Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin
Abdulaziz, the Vice President General of Youth Welfare, the Vice
President of Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, the Head of the Saudi
Mission to the Olympic games 2008 in Beijing, has said that "in
addition to participating in the Olympic games, the Kingdom's mission
aims to embody the true image of the noble message sought by the
Kingdom and called on by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on every occasion".

Prince Nawaf said that the message focuses on showing the world's
people the tolerant Islamic civilization which is based on peace and
brotherhood among peoples of the world, adding that such message is
also sought by the International Olympic Committee.

In a statement after attending the opening ceremony of the 29th
Olympic games, Prince Nawaf said, "We congratulate Chinese President
Hu Jintao on the great success of the opening ceremony".
