Yemen, U.S. discuss legal cooperation
SANA'A, Dec. 21 (Saba) - Minister of Legal Affairs Rashad al Rasas has met with the U.S. ambassador to Yemen Gerald M. Feierstein in
Sana'a.
They discussed aspects of legal cooperation between the two countries and ways to
strengthen the cooperation.
The meeting also dealt with national developments and arrangements for holding the
upcoming parliamentary elections on time in April 2011, as it reviewed the U.S.
efforts
in supporting Yemen to join the World Trade Organization, including the recently
signed bilateral agreement on the accession.
Al Rasas appreciated the U.S. support to Yemen in all areas.
For his part, the U.S. diplomat stressed the importance of holding fair and
transparent elections next year according to the Yemeni constitution and
recently-passed election
law.
