Iranian official urges Pak to earnestly work to stop terrorist acts

Tehran, Dec 20, IRNA – Chairman of Armed Forces Joint Chiefs of Staff said that Iran will resort to its legitimate rights if the Pakistani government continues to fail in paying due attention to confronting terrorists on its borders like previous years.
Brigadier General Hassan Firouzabadi said Pakistan is Iran’s friend and Iran has interest in and interactions with it but it falls short of controlling and stopping terrorists.
Saying that Iran only resorts to its legitimate rights in confronting terrorists, he said the terrorist actions on Iran-Pakistan border areas persuades Tehran to review the topic.
Firouzabadi who is also a member of the country’s Supreme National Security Council said Iran retains right to avenge its martyrs and if Pakistan failed to control and contain terrorist actions on its border, then Iran will use its legitimate right./end
