Yemen to attend conference on child rights in Morocco

SANA'A,Dec.18 ( Saba) - Yemen
is to take part in the 4th Arab meeting on child rights to be held in Marrakech,
Morocco,
on 19-21 December.
Minister for Human Rights Huda al-Ban, head of the delegation to the meeting, said
the event will assess progress in implementing the recommendations of the 3rd
conference
on child rights and protection and find ways of bolstering the Arab work on child
issues.
Improving child rights comes within the 2nd Arab plan 2004-2015 approved by the
Arab League at the Arab summit in 2004 in Tunisia, she said, pointing out that the
plan is
an Arab commitment towards all child rights.
The meeting will provide a good opportunity for Yemen and other Arab countries
which seek to achieve child sustainable development, especially in areas such as
healthcare,
education, protection and participation, she added.
