salt has been unveiled in the town of Solikamsk, the centre of Russia's

though treating the bread to a guest. The monument was made by Rustam
Ismagilov, a sculptor from the city of Perm.

word meaning 'salt' and the name of the River Kama flowing through the
town. It is famous for its production of salt, in particular, potassium
