Population Abdul Karim Rasa'a on Sunday returned home after attending the 22nd meeting of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

The meeting took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 13-15 December.
It was successful and distinguished, said Rasi'a, as he pointed out that the fund
had made important decisions including the one approving $ 733 million for proposed
projects
within the tenth round to fight the three diseases.
Our region's proportion was $ 243 million and the sum comes due to the success in
implementing projects to eradicate the diseases by 73 per cent, he said.
The meeting also decided to launch the 11th round in August 2011 and made other
decisions on administrative and organizational issues of Global Fund and its
