Iran's national security official to visit Turkey

Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA -- Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council for Political and Security Affairs Ali Baqeri is scheduled to pay an official visit to Turkey to confer with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on issues of mutual interests.

According to secretariat of SNSC, the Iranian envoy is expected to discuss issues of mutual interests and the regional developments as part of routine talks between the two countries.

The Iranian envoy had already met with Turkish foreign minister in Turkey before Geneva talks held on December 6-7.

Talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and G5+1 resumed in Geneva two weeks ago. They agreed to hold the next round of talks in Istanbul in Mid-January.

Turkish officials have voiced readiness to host the meeting and are ready to play an active role to this effect./end
