Red Bull Racing F1 cars on show on Rajadamnoen Avenue

BANGKOK, Dec18(TNA) - Red Bull Racing Formula 1 cars, led by Australian Formula 1 star Mark Alan Webber, began a historic and a most spectacular show on Bangkok's Rajdamnoeon Avenue at 2pm on Saturday (Dec 18).

Webber and his team were scheduled to drive the Formula 1 cars in a four lap-circuit from the Golden Mount towards the Democracy Monument on the Rajadamneon Klang Avenue.

Weber said he is honoured to be part of Thailand's grand celebrations of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 84th birthday next year.

The beloved and revered Thai monarch showed his keen interest in the Formula 1 engine when he granted a one-hour audience to Weber and his team at Siriraj Hospital yesterday evening.

The Formula 1 world champions Red Bull Racing event, which was presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulaporn on behalf of His Majesty the King, also commemorated Thailand's late Prince Birabongse Bhanudej, widely known as Prince Bira, who was the first and has been the only Thai Formula 1 driver so far.(TNA)
