Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first 11 months of 2010, a total of MNT 207.1 billion of construction and installation work were carried out at the national level. Of which, MNT 187.9 billion or 90.7 per cent of the work were executed by domestic entities, and MNT 19.2 billion or 9.3 per cent by foreign entities.
In the first 11 months of 2010, 3236.1 thousand passengers and 15257.7 thousand tons freight (double counting) were carried by railway transport. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of carried passengers rose by 372.7 thousand persons or 13.0 per cent, the number of carried freight rose by 2437.9 thousand tons or 19.0 per cent. Due to the increase in carried freight and passengers, revenue from railway transport increased by MNT 74.6 billion or 36.5 per cent to MNT 279.3 billion in the first 11 months of 2010 against the previous year.
In the first 11 months of 2010, 364.7 thousand passengers and 1500.9 tons freight (double counting) were carried by air transport. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of carried passengers rose by 77.8 thousand persons or 27.1 per cent, the number of carried freight rose by 266.3 tons or 21.6 per cent. Due to the increase in carried freight and passengers, revenue from air transport increased by MNT 14.1 billion or 13.6 per cent to MNT 117.8 billion in the first 11 months of 2010 against the previous year.
