REMIER HOLDS TALKS WITH V.PUTIN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Paying the official visit to Russia, the Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold held Tuesday an individual meeting as well as an expanded talks with V.V.Putin, the Premier of the Russian Federation in Moscow. They have considered some urgent problems facing the bilateral relations, further plans for widening them, and international and regional matters.
The Premiers have re-confirmed that they will be faithful to their traditional, friendly and good neighborhood relations, and have agreed to forward the bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership and to improve effectiveness of the collaboration.
The sides have reached agreements to deepen the partnership relations, to liberalize the trade, to reduce the balance deficit, to increase the export of Mongolia, to make investments to Mongolia, and to co-implement the biggest investment projects. For instance, the countries have agreed to establish the "Dornod Uranium" joint venture to exploit the Mongolian mineral resources, energy and uranium deposit, to make a great renovation in the "Ulaanbaatar Railway" joint venture, the "Mongolrostsvetmet" corporation and the "Erdenet" Mining Corporation, to increase export of meat and meat products to Russia, to improve health of Mongolian livestock, and to tackle a matter of RUB 370 million for preventing livestock diseases.
The sides have considered issues of the cooperation in the culture, education, science and technical sectors, expressing a willingness to widen the cooperation in these sectors. They have agreed to increase number of Mongolian students to study in Russian with the Russian governmental scholarships.
The Prime Ministers have come to an agreement to mark the 90th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Russia, and to forward their collaboration within the security of Asia including East Asia, Northeast Asia and Central Asia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
As results of Mongolian Premier's visit to Russia, the sides have created and signed a joint statement. In addition to it, the countries have inked some ten contracts, agreements and memorandums.

The documents were signed after the dignitaries had have talks. These documents are: the intergovernmental agreement on settling Mongolia's financial liabilities to Russia; intergovernmental agreement on the education of underage Mongolian citizens in Russian educational institutions with additional programs for their military training; a communique on the adoption of the program for developing bilateral trade and economic cooperation in 2011-2015; a joint plan of action to create the most favorable legal, trade, economic and other conditions to further intensify bilateral cross-border and regional cooperation in 2011-2012.
The sides also have created a memorandum of understanding between the Russian Ministry of Transport and the Mongolian Ministry of Roads, Transport, Construction and Urban Development on the transshipment of cargo from Mongolia via Russian territory; a memorandum of understanding between the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Mongolian Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy on cooperation in geological prospecting and exploration of mineral resources; a memorandum of understanding between the Russian Energy Ministry and the Mongolian Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy on cooperation in the energy sector; a memorandum of understanding between the Russian Business Council on Cooperation with Mongolia and the Mongolian Business Council on Cooperation with Russia; an agreement on the basic terms for establishing Dornod Uran, a joint limited liability company.
