MONGOLIA-JAPAN CONSULTATIVE MEETING HELD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The 4th Mongolia-Japan inter-governmental and private sector consultative meeting has been held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
Present at the meeting were representatives of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development, the Ministry of Mineral Resources and energy, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the Bank of Mongolia; and їє some 30 companies.
The Japanese side has been represented by a delegation headed by T.Matsushita, a vice minister of economics, trade and industry, and of related ministries and private organizations.
When opening the meeting, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Bolor underlined that the bilateral collaboration among state organizations and private sector have been intensifying, and has stated that Mongolia is preparing well for starting talks on establishment of an economic and partnership agreement.
The sides have shared views on the cooperation in trade, investment and mineral spheres, and exchanged information on urgent problems and difficulties facing the Mongolian and Japanese businessmen.
An open discussion on these matters has been organized as well. The Japanese side said is has been satisfied with successful organization of the consultative meeting, and said Japan intends to organize the next meeting in Tokyo.
After the consultative meeting, the delegation led by Mr. Matsushita has been received by Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj, by the Foreign Minister G.Zandanshatar, and by the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy D.Zorigt. The sides have shared views on the Mongolia-Japan relations and the economic cooperation.
