NKorea welcomes China offer on 6-party envoys' meeting: spokeswoman.

BEIJING, December 14 (Itar-Tass) - North Korea has welcomed China's
offer to convene an emergency meeting of the chief negotiators at six-way
talks on North Korea's nuclear problem, Chinese Foreign Ministry
spokeswoman Jiang Yu said on Tuesday.
She said it at a briefing in reply to reporters' request to comment on
a trip to Pyongyang on December 8-9 of Dai Bingguo, member of the State
Council of the People's Republic of China. It was reported that major
agreements had been reached at talks there.
"North Korea has reacted positively to China's offer to convene an
emergency meeting of the heads of the delegations to six-party talks," the
Chinese diplomat said.
Besides, she said "Pyongyang gives high marks to efforts of the
Chinese side, aimed at easing tensions on the Korean peninsula". "The
Democratic People's Republic of Korea believes that such a meeting will
help to ease the tense situation," Jiang Yu added.
