Thailand hosts 60th Meeting of ASEAN Committee on Science and Technology
BANGKOK,Dec14(TNA)-The 60th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Science and Technology was held in Thailand's southern resort Krabi Province on Tuesday (Dec14)--in which executives and experts in science and technology from 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN and representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat took part.
Associated Professor Vee-ra-pong Pae-su-wan, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Science and Technology, said that the meeting was aimed at promoting scientific and technological cooperation and solutions among ASEAN member countries.
On the same occasion, Professor Low Teck Seng, Singapore's Chairman of the ASEAN Committee on Science and Technology, handed the chairmanship of the regional committee to Thailand.(TNA)
