Spokesman: Change of FM has no impact on Iran macro policy
Tehran, Dec 14, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Tuesday that the change in Iran's Foreign Ministry has no impact on the country's macro policies in the international affairs.
Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, Mehmanparast said that Tehran's foreign policy will not be affected by the recent switch in the office of foreign minister.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appointed Ali-Akbar Salehi, Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), as the caretaker of the Foreign Ministry on Monday.
Mottaki had been the country's foreign minister since 2005.
