Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has issued a decree to create a new prize which is the State Gerege--the supreme prize for national industry, based on opinions from citizens and organizations. The prize will be awarded every year to those people or organizations that could make great constructions bringing new standard socio-economy and intellectual development of Mongolia.
Apart of the prize, the State Head has appealed to all level authorities for supporting new great constructions of citizens, enterprisers and organization and for creating prizes. The President wants all citizens, industries and organizations to work with more efforts and contributions to making great constructions as well.
In conjunction with the decree, the 20th order of 1999 by the President on supporting initiatives of creating the prize for national productivity has been annulled.

The Defense Minister of Mongolia L.Bold paid an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on December 7-11, 2010 at invitation of Vietnam's Defense Minister Pheg Quang Thanh.
During the visit, Mr. Bold has laid a wreath to the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, and then held negotiations with his counterpart Colonel-General Pheg Quang Thanh. The Mongolia's Defense Minister has been received by the Vietnam's president Nguyen Minh Triet as well.
The sides have highly spoken the Mongolia-Vietnam inter-governmental ties and the traditional friendly relations in the defense sector, and expressed satisfaction with achievements in the bilateral cooperation. The Vietnam's side has underlined an importance of the official visit of the Defense Minister of Mongolia, and considered that it could bring the bilateral ties in the defense sector into a newer level, and significantly contributed to the friendly ties between people. The Mongolian side has highly appreciated the great construction made by the Vietnamese government, people and people's armed forces and the achievements in the defense sector. Mongolia has a willingness to strengthen the bilateral collaboration in the defense sector for international and regional peace, stability, cooperation and development.
The countries have given reports on international and regional urgent problems and domestic matters. The sides have exchanged views and reached agreements on forwarding the further collaboration, paying mutual visits in all levels, cooperating in the educational sphere, sharing experiences in untraditional security, and establishing defense attache services in their countries.
In addition to it, the countries have agreed to make preparation for establishing a cooperation agreement between the Defense Ministries of the countries, and to approve it in a proper time.
It is considered that the official visit of a delegation led by the Mongolia's Defense Minister L.Bold has been paid successfully. Mr. Bold has thanked his counterpart of Vietnam Colonel-General Pheg Quang Thanh for warmly welcoming the Mongolian delegation.

The Korea Development Bank (KDB) has expressed a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in establishing a development bank of Mongolia. A delegation headed by Mr. Euoo-Sung Min, a chairman and CEO of the KDB said about the willingness during meeting with the Mongolia's Prime Minister S.Batbold held Friday. The KDB also wants to collaborate with Mongolia in developing capital and financial market, creating capital accumulation, sharing experiences in attracting investments and training experts.
The Premier has told the South Korean delegation that Mongolia is doing its endeavor to develop its economics based on the mining sector, and added that Mongolia is interested in experiences of the KDB because the Republic of Korea is one of the those countries that managed to reach great success by correctly determining its development style. Mr. Batbold has suggested the KDB leader to prepare cooperation direction and to participate in the selection.
Founded in 1954, the KDB is a state-owned policy bank in the South Korea. In 1960-1970, the KDB made investment to the infrastructure sector, and from 1970--to the industrial sector. The KDB has been paying great attentions to the high technologies and making investments to foreign countries in recent years.

A State Honored Sportsman Kh.Tsagaanbaatar has won a bronze medal in the Tokyo Grand Slam which started December 11 in Tokyo Japan.
Competed in the men's 66 kg, Tsagaanbaatar beat his rivals from Finland and Japan at the first rounds. At the bronze medal match, he defeated a judoist from France qualifying for the next match. At the silver medal contest, he has been defeated by a Russian judoist.
On the first day of the competition, other judoists of Mongolia D.Tomorkhuleg (men's 60 kg), G.Boldbaatar (60 kg), S.Miaragchaa (66 kg), M.Urantsetseg (women's 48 kg) and M.Bundmaa (52 kg) did not win medals. A Mongolian judoist E.Enkhbat will compete on the second day in the men's 90 kg contest.
Thanks to winning medals in several international competitions, Kh.Tsagaanbaatar is leading the ranks of the judoists for the men's 66 kg by December 7 according to the International Judo Federation (IJF). Holding 1,272 points, Tsagaanbaatar is followed by a Russian judoist Alim Gadanov (1,146 points). S.Miaragchaa is ranked at fourth with 956 points.

Mongolian sportspeople are competing in the 2nd Asian Beach Games began on December 8 in the Al-Musannah Sports City, Muscat, Oman.
Mongolia is represented by 13 athletes who are going to compete in woodball, triathlon and bodybuilding. The Mongolia's woodball team comprises two players--D.Baigalmaa and G.Sugarbayar.
Present at the opening ceremony were Mr. Jacques Rogge, the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC); Sayyid Fahad bin Mahmood Al-Said, the Deputy Prime Minister of Oman; Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, the president of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA); and other high officials. Athletes of Asian 45 countries are taking part in the Asian Beach Games in 14 sport events.

Five stock trades were held at Mongolia's Stock Exchange from December 6 to December 10. In overall, 1.7 million shares were sold of 45 joint-stock companies totaling MNT 2.3 billion.
Index TOP-20 was 14005.97 points decreasing 239.43 units or 1.7% against the week earlier. The total market capitalization was set at MNT one trillion and 313.7 billion decreasing MNT 22.6 billion or 1.7%. Shares of "Bayanteeg /101.0%/, "Silikat" /75.8%/ and "Bishrelt industrial" /49.1%/ were increased, but shares of "Guril tejeel bulgan" /13.0%/, "Mongol shiltgeen" /10.9%/ and "Material impex" /9.1%/ were decreased.
16 stocks closed higher, 23 shares declined and six shares remained unchanged. Shares of "Nako tulsh" /545.1 thousand units/, "Khokh gan" /438.9 thousand units/ and "Hi B oil" /302.0 thousand units/ were actively traded in terms of trading volume and in terms of trading value--"Sharyn gol" (MNT 1.7 billion), "Nako tulsh" (MNT 191.2 million) and "Darkhan nekhii" (MNT 166.5 million).
