Students protest UK role in scientists assassination before embassy

Tehran, Dec 13, IRNA -- A group of university students gathered in front of Britain embassy in Tehran to protest British involvement in assassination of Iranian university professors.

One of the professors attained martyrdom while the other sustained serious injuries.

The angry students set ablaze the flags of Britain and the US in protest at their involvement in the plot.

The students carried placards reading 'Death to America', 'Death to Zionist regime' and 'Death to Britain'.

Iran said that prior to the terrorist operations in Tehran, chief of UK secret service MI6 John Sawers had suggested terror option against Iranian nuclear scientists.

Iran said that the United Nations Security Council has violated the international law and human rights by singling out the nuclear scientists in the context of the UN resolutions.

The permanent members of the UN Security Council have failed to respect Iranian sovereignty rights by singling out the scientists working on national nuclear program in line with Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Safeguards Agreement of the International Atomic Energy Agency./end
