Iran plays basic role in strengthening stability in Lebanon
Beirut, Dec 12, IRNA – Lebanese Minister for Social Affairs Selim El-Sayegh said that Tehran plays a basic role, not only in supporting stability in Lebanon, but in supporting the country against consequences of issuing indictment of Late Hariri court.
In an interview with Daily “ As-Safir”, which was published on Saturday, El-Sayegh said that Iran is trying to strengthen stability in the region.
He added that without strengthening stability, any kind of conflict in Lebanon will spread abroad and in this case all politico-economic achievements in the region will be destroyed.
The minister said, 'We respect Velayat-e-Faqieh (Guardianship of the Jurist), because Iranians have chosen it as a principle in their political system.'
He continued that Velayat-e-Faqieh, as an important religious issue, is respectful for Muslims.
