SENIOR ATHLETES WIN MEDALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Senior athletes of Mongolia have won medals in the 16th Asia Masters Athletics Championships that started December 6 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mongolia has been represented by 14 senior athletics.
At the first day of the competitions, Ts.Purevjav from Dornod aimag has grabbed a gold medal in the contest of 5,000 m distance running. A runner from Khentii aimag's Omnodelger soum Sh.Batsukh also has won a gold medal. Moreover, prize-winning places have been taken by T.Otgonbayar, a teacher from the 1 secondary school of Khovd province; sports master D.Ariunjargal from Gobisumber aimag; Narantsetseg from the city's Khan-Uul district; and Bayarsaikhan from Omnogobi's Nomgon soum. A State Honored Sportswoman D.Namjilmaa; and sports master Tserendolgor have won silver medals in the discus throw contest.
The competitions will continue until December 12.
