PARLIAMENT SPEAKER STARTS VISIT TO INDIA


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A delegation headed by D.Demberel, the Parliament Speaker, started Thursday an official visit to the Republic of India by paying tribute to the monument of Mahatma Gandhi, a leader of India for the Indian independence movement.
The same day, the Speaker held talks with Mrs. Meira Kumar, Speaker of the Lok Sabha (Lower House of Indian parliament), and with Mohammad Hamid Ansari, India's vice president.
The delegation of Mongolia comprises D.Lundeejantsan MP, a leader of the Mongolian People's Party's (MPP) faction at parliament; Ch.Saikhanbileg MP, a leader of the Democratic Party's (DP) faction; D.Odbayar MP, a head of Mongolia-India inter-parliamentary group; R.Gonchigdorj MP, a deputy-head of the inter-parliamentary group; S.Oyun and D.Terbishdagva MPs, and other officials.
The visit will last for five days in New Delhi and Kolkata cities.
