RF calls on expanding East Asian summits' agenda - DP.
MOSCOW, December 9 (Itar-Tass) - Russia calls for expanding on the
East Asian summits' agenda with security issues, Deputy Foreign Minister
Alexei Borodavkin said.
Speaking at an international conference at the Moscow State University
of International Relations on Thursday, Borodavkin said, "We call on all
countries of the Asia Pacific Region to confirm their commitment to the
principle of equal and indivisible security, give up confrontation and
jointly think of what measures should be taken in order to build an open,
transparent and equal security architecture based on the non-bloc policy."
Russia calls "for creating a partner of multilateral associations",
the diplomat said. "This will be an important step towards ensuring a
lasting peace and stability," Borodavkin stressed.
"That is why we call for expanding the East Asian summits' agenda
with security issues," he added.
