Energy-motive force of RF-PRC trade-eco cooperation.

BEIJING, December 9 (Itar-Tass) -- Energy is a motive force of the
whole complex of bilateral trade and economic interaction of Russia and
China, Russia's trade representative in China Sergei Tsyplakov told
journalists on Thursday.
"The conclusion of the construction of the Russian-Chinese oil
pipeline became a signal of the fact that "energy cooperation has entered
a new stage of development: a transition from talks and frame agreements
to practical long-term cooperation has taken place," he said.
According to Tsyplakov, if next year we manage to conclude an
agreement in the gas sphere, then "bilateral energy cooperation will
assume the role of a locomotive of the whole complex of Russian-Chinese
trade and economic interaction." The Russian trade representative also
noted that "the noticeable advance of energy cooperation between the
countries became a peculiarity of the current year." In particular, as he
said, it concerns atomic energy, the coal industry and supplies of Russian
electric power to China.
