Japan`s PM states readiness to develop relations with RF.

TOKYO, December 9 (Itar-Tass) - Japan's Premier Naoto Kan highly
appreciates his latest conversation with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
and intends to develop relations with Moscow in various fields, including
economy. He said this at his residence here on Thursday during a meeting
with Sergei Naryshkin, head of the RF presidential administration.
Naoto Kan said he believes that his latest meeting with President
Medvedev was highly useful: the two leaders said they would help forward
the talks on a peace treaty, including the territorial issue, and develop
economic relations.
The Japanese Premier also congratulated Russia on winning the bid to
play host to the 2018 World Soccer Cup.
In response, Sergei Naryshkin delivered a message of greetings from
Dmitry Medvedev. "The President of Russia," he said, "also got a good
impression of the latest meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan". The
two leaders had met in Yokohama in November within the framework of the
summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
The head of the RF presidential administration thanked the Japanese
side for the invitation to him to visit Tokyo, where later in the day he
was to attend a closing ceremony of the traditional Russian Culture
Festival.
Naryshkin told the Japanese Premier, "Our present meeting is
illustrative of the attention that you personally devote to the
development of relations with Russia and of readiness and determination to
implement all the accords reached".
Later on Thursday Naryshkin is also planning to meet with Japan's
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshito Sengoku.
