UN TRAINING ON REFUGEES HELD
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Office of the UN High Commission for Refugees /UNHCR/ in Mongolia has organized a media training on "Protection for refugees" among the domestic journalists.
The purpose of the event--to familiarize the journalists with violations of refugee rights in foreign countries, as well as in Mongolia, and to improve knowledge on protecting the rights of refugees.
Spokeswoman for UNHCR of Asian region, Kitty Mckenzie has attended the "Protection for refugees" training held in Ulaanbaatar hotel. Together with the head office in Mongolia N.Anaraa, Ms. Mckenzie introduced journalists to the UN human rights activities and the implementation of protection of refugee rights in Mongolia.
At the end, the participants were issued a certificate of training completion.
