GOVERNMENT WANTS STABILITY IN PETROL PRICES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet changed the excise tax on petrol.
Accordingly, the 150,000 tax imposed on a ton of A-80 petrol, which is imported through the points of Sukhbaatar, Zamiin Uud, Ereentsav and Altanbulag, has been increased to 190,000, and the 170,000 tax, paid for the ton of AI-92 petrol--to 230 thousand.
Excise tax on diesel fuel remains the same at 20 thousand MNT per ton, and prices have not been touched of petrol and fuel that are imported through remote checkpoints.
By doing so the Government wants keep the retail prices stable in the domestic market.
In December this year, Russia cut the prices of supplied to us A-80 by 25 USD per ton, and of A-92--by 43 USD, but increased a diesel fuel cost by ten USD.
