Foreign Minister meets Arab ambassadors to Sana'a

SANA'A, Aug 8 (Saba)- Minister of Foreign Affairs Abu Bakr
al-Qirbi confirmed Yemen's interest to activate permanent
consultations mechanisms among Arab countries and common
coordination among them regarding serving Arab nations issues and
boosting aspirations of their people for security, stability and
development.

During his meeting with Arab countries ambassadors to Yemen al-Qirbi
said that "this meeting comes to acquaint the ambassadors with all
the internal, regional and international developments in the
framework of efforts being exerted by President Ali Abdullah Saleh
to bring together all Arab parties and reach reconciliation between
Fateh and Hamas movements or the transitional federal government of
Somalia.

Al-Qirbi reviewed Yemen's efforts to overcome traces of rebellion in
some regions of Saada governorate and tackle retirees and lands
issues in southern governorates, terrorist acts and threats by
al-Qaeda which requires strengthening security cooperation among
Arab countries and exchanging information in this regard.

He made it clear that negative impacts serve terrorists, endanger
security and damage stability and development.

Al-Qirbi also reviewed Parliamentary election issues which is to be
held in the upcoming April and the existing political movements to
embody democratic practice in Yemen.

He pointed out to the dialogue going on among People's General
Congress (PGC) and Joint Meeting Parties to insure adapting suitable
security climate for constitutional merit on its term. He said:
"there is an agreement among PGC and JMP on various major issues on
the dialogue table".

On their side, dean of diplomatic corpses in Sana'a- the Omani
ambassador to Sana'a Abdullah Bin Hamad al-Badi noted the importance
of such meetings to avoid false explanations and get information
from its official sources.
