China supporting RF's joining WTO as soon as possible-FM.

BEIJING, December 9 (Itar-Tass) -- China hopes that Russia will be
able to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) as soon as possible,
spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Jiang Yu told a briefing here
on Thursday, commenting on the conclusion of bilateral talks between the
Russian Federation and the European Union on conditions of Russia's
joining the WTO.
"China was one of the first to finish talks with Russia on the issue
of its joining the WTO," the diplomat said. According to him, Russia's
participation in the work of this organization "will promote spreading of
the activity and rising of the representation of the WTO, as well as
expand the frames of multilateral trade."
The memorandum on mutual understanding on conditions of Russia's
joining the WTO was signed in Brussels on December 7.
