Iran will never take a single step back from its goals: MP

Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA -- Member of Parliament's Economic Commission said on Sunday that Iran will not take one step back from its lofty goals.

Gholamreza Mesbahi Moqaddam told IRNA on the sidelines of the parliament's formal session that the UN sanctions and the US and the European Union's unilateral sanctions failed to block Iran's remarkable progress.

'That's G5+1 which called for talks with Iran,' he said, noting that this indicates that the West was obliged to choose this way.

Now they resorted to negotiations so as to reach their objectives through dialogue and politicking, he said.

Iran will never abandon its national interests in nuclear program, Mesbahi Moqaddam, a Tehran MP said.

He said that the West's aim of the talks is to justify their probable setback after the negotiations.

After a lapse of 15 months, 5+1 Group reached the conclusion that it has no choice but to return to talks./end
