Iran MP: US, its allies must change approach

Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA - Head of the Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Sunday that the US and its allies must change their approach on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.

Speaking to IRNA prior to the resumption of nuclear talks with G5+1, he said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has already announced its views and conditions in a proposal dispatched to G5+1 which means the country has adopted a very crystal clear stand to this effect.

The fact is that the US along with its western allies have adopted a failed diplomacy regarding Iran as they called for a halt of uranium enrichment in the country, but since their request was illegal and ran counter to international norms, Tehran refused to do so, he said.

Iran has achieved great success in nuclear technology within rules and regulations of the IAEA, he said urging the US and its western allies to change their wrong approach.

Iran fully abides by international rules and regulations set by IAEA as well as NPT protocol, he said./end
