Tu-154 flight recorders decoding begins overnight.




MOSCOW, December 4 (Itar-Tass) -- The study of the flight recorders
("black boxes") from the Tu-154 airliner that made an emergency landing at
Domodedovo will start already on the night, Russian Deputy Transport
Minister Valery Okulov told Itar-Tass.
"The voice and data recorders are retrieved. Their decoding will begin
this night," he said, noting that the first information from the boxes
would be received no earlier than in 24 hours.



.Petrol tanker flips over on railroad west of Moscow, no leakage.


MOSCOW, December 4 (Itar-Tass) -- A petrol tanker flipped over on a
railroad in the Ruza district of the Moscow Region. It caused a halt of
traffic on one Smolensk-direction track, a railway administration source
told Itar-Tass.
The accident occurred at a crossing between the stations of Dorokhovo
and Mozhaisk, west of Moscow, at 15:15 Moscow time on Saturday.
According to the preliminary information, the driver lost control of
the vehicle. Fuel did not leak from the tanker, but one of the two main
tracks was damaged. Trains ran only on the other track, and two local
trains to Moscow were delayed.
It is a guarded crossing. Its signal system worked as normal at the
moment, the source said. What caused the accident has yet to be
established. Railway specialists were sent to the site.


.Compensation payment to plane accident victims to begin soon.


MOSOW, December 4 (Itar-Tass) -- The payment of compensations to the
people injured in the Tu-154 accident and relatives of the people who died
will begin soon, Russian Deputy Transport Minister Valery Okulov told
Itar-Tass.
Insurance companies have agreed to pay a part of the compensations
promptly without complicated procedures and then pay the rest after all
the insurance procedures, he said.


.One more Russian plane, helicopter to arrive in Israel to fight fires.



MOSCOW, December 5 (Itar-Tass) --One more Be-200 amphibious plane and
a Mi-26 helicopter will join the Russian fire-fighting air group in
Israel, the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's information
department, Irina Andrianova, told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
The Be-200 is planned to fly out from Ramenskoye airport, the Moscow
Region, on Sunday, and the Mi-26 that left Moscow the day before is
expected to arrive in Israel on Sunday. The helicopter has a special
15-tonne-capacity water-pouring system.
At present, three aircraft, two Il-76s and a Be-200, of the Russian
Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) fight the fires near Haifa. On Saturday,
they logged a total of 14 flying hours and carried out 35 water discharges
on fires, pouring about 530 tonnes of extinguishing water, the spokeswoman
said.
A group of EMERCOM specialists headed by the ministry's chief military
expert Pavel Plat helps the Israeli colleagues. The group arrived in the
country on Saturday. They will continue consultations with local
authorities on Sunday on the use of fire-fighting forces and rescue
operations, Andrianova added.
The Russian group's operational station is situated on Haifa's
southern outskirts.
