VICE-SPEAKER G.BATKHUU PARTICIPATED IN OSCE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A Vice-speaker of Mongolia's parliament G.Batkhuu gave a speech at the summit meeting of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe /OSCE/ in Astana, Kazakhstan December 1.
This meeting was participated by 56 countries, 12 partner-states and 68 organizations to talk about Euro-Atlantic and Euro-Asian security issues.
The main theme of the summit were the reaffirmation of OSCE commitments, the recommitment of OSCE participating states to an inclusive Euro-Atlantic and Euro-Asian security community, and the redoubling of collective efforts to address challenges to human rights, and to combat new trasnational treats.
The gathered discussed also the issues ranging from the war in Afganistan, nuclear nonproliferation to regional conflicts.
In this union, established in 1975, Mongolia entered in 2004 and now is actively taking part in many important events such as Minister's Council meeting, Standing Council meeting, Economic forum, Human Dimension meeting, conference co-organized with partnership countries.
