SPEAKER MEETS RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF ADB
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker D.Demberel has received a Resident Representative of Asian Development Bank in Mongolia Adrian Ruthenberg in connection with completing his mission and returning home.
D.Demberel underlined at the meeting, which took place Wednesday December 1, that the ADB "is the biggest donor of Mongolia" with whom since 1991 many projects and programs have been implemented. Within the frames this cooperation, the bank has given some 700 million dollars credit and 300 million dollars' non-refundable aid.
"We have collaborated in a period when prices of our natural resources were going up and Mongolia was entering a new level of economic development", he said.
"The ADB's knowledge, experience and financial and economic support given to Mongolia during the global financial-and- economic crisis were a great assistance," he stressed and wished Mr. Ruthenberg a success.
In response, Ruthenberg underlined that he was happy to work in Mongolia representing the ADB. In Mongolia he likes the people' humanism, kindness and helpfulness, he said adding that he has no more advise to give but has a confidence in the people who are able to lead Mongolia.
