MINISTER GANSUKH GIVES SPEECH AT UN CONFERENCE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Environment and Tourism L.Gansukh will make a presentation at the UN conference on climate change. It opened in the Mexican Cancun on Monday.
The conference, which runs until December 10, is the 16th meeting in a row, and the sixth convention of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol. Expected to be adopted are legal instruments to adapt to climate change, introduce environmentally friendly technologies, capacity building in developing countries, create a financial mechanism.
During the meeting, representatives of 190 countries will continue negotiations on a new agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol, which expires in 2012.
