JAPANESE EMPEROR SEES ANCIENT NOTE FROM MONGOLIA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A diplomatic note from Mongolian Emperor Bogd Khan to the Japan has been displayed at an exhibition dedicated to the 120th anniversary of establishment of the Japanese Parliament.
Dating back to the year 1912 note from the Mongolian Emperor Bogd Khan to the Japanese Emperor proposes establishment of diplomatic relations and seeking a recognition of Mongolia's independence. The note could not reach its destination because of disturbances in China. During the recent visit to Japan, Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj presented a copy of this note to the Japanese Parliament Speaker.
The Emperor of Japan, Akihito while visiting the exhibition, has seen the note. It has been said by a chairman of Mongolia-Japan friendship group at House of Councilors of Japan, Satsuki Eda to Mongolia's Ambassador to Japan R.Jigjidjav.
During the meeting, the Ambassador Jigjidjav thanked Mr. Eda for his support to run President Ts.Elbegdorj's visit to Japan.
