Woman missing in floodwaters

A woman is missing in central Queensland floodwaters after calling for help from
inside her waterlogged car.
Police said they received a call from the 55-year-old who said she was stuck in
floodwaters somewhere between Middlemount and Dysart, south-west of Mackay, about
10am (AEST) on Tuesday.
Rescue workers found her car but not the woman as they searched floodwaters caused
by heavy rain around Golden Mile Road, at Dysart.
Police have cordoned off the area but called off the search as night fell.
The search is expected to begin again on Wednesday morning.
