Separatists-possible organisers of Bishkek explosion

BISHKEK, November 30 (Itar-Tass) -- National-separatists may be
involved in the organisation of the explosion, staged in the central part
of the Kyrgyz capital on Tuesday, Marat Imankulov, secretary of the Kyrgyz
Security Council, said at a press conference here on Tuesday. He believes
that the Tuesday explosion is connected with the recent arrest in Osh of a
group of people, who prepared acts of terrorism, and with the Monday
operation of the security services for the physical destruction of armed
gangsters, blocked in a residential area of Osh.
"All those incidents are connected with each other," Imankulov said.
According to the specified information of the Kyrgyz ministry of
public health, three people were lightly wounded by the explosion staged
near the republican Sports Palace in Bishkek, including two policemen and
a passer-by.
The Kyrgyz authorities decided to postpone the time and change the
place of holding the next court session on the so-called "April 7 case"
because of problems with the maintenance of security. For several days the
trial was held in the Sports Palace. 28 people are defendants on the case,
including ex-President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, some of his relatives, his close
associates and several officers of the Alfa special task force and the
guard service. They are suspected of complicity in the shooting down of a
demonstration of opposition supporters in the central square of Bishkek on
April 7, 2010. Some 90 people died as a result of the shooting, and
several hundred were wounded.
