Mehmanparast: Enemies showed teeth and nails

Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman branding as “inhumane” Monday's assassination of two professors, said that the sworn enemies of the country's sacred system are showing teeth and nails by martyring elite scientists.

Reacting to the assassination of the two professors of the Martyr Beheshti University, Ramin Mehmanparast added, “The enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have assumed in vain they would manage to halt the prestigious and highly inspiring progress of the Iranian nation towards the peaks of high technology and the advancement and development of the dear Iran.”

Mehmanparast reiterated that “The inhumane crimes are committed by the agents of the Zionist regime under such conditions that the self claimed standard bearers of the human rights support them.

He emphasized that "the terrorists continue their wretched acts under the supportive umbrella of those countries to define the hollow present day meaning of the phrase human rights that is merely used instrumentally to push forth illegitimate political intentions against independent countries, and that is a sheer fact clearly know by the wise around the globe.”

In separate assassination acts on Monday morning, two top nuclear physics professors of Tehran’s Martyr Beheshti University and University of Tehran were attacked. Dr. Majid Shahriari was martyred and Professor Fereydoun Abbasi and his wife were wounded./end
