President asks to set up 21 centers for caring orphans

SANA'A, Aug. 06 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh asked on
Wednesday the government to set up 21 centers for orphans within
2009 budget in all governorates of the country.
The capacity of each center should be 1000 orphans, president Saleh said during a ceremony of graduating new batch of students from the orphans center.
He also announced his support for 1000 orphans for coming year in
the center, calling on businessmen and charitable people to set up
such centers in different regions of the country.
President also donated YR 200 million for supporting activities of the centre.
At the end of the ceremony, Prime Minister Ali Mujawar and chairman of Shuora Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani handed over merit
certificates for the graduates.
On the other hand, president Saleh opened first exhibition for the
international forum for qualifying orphans which includes handcrafts
of Arab and international charitable societies working in field of
caring orphans.
