IRGC: Anti-revolution fails to hijack Iranian plane
Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA – Islamic Revolution Guard Corps ( IRGC) in a statement said an anti-revolution element failed to hijack an Iranian plane on the route of Tehran-Damascus.
In the statement, published by IRGC public relations bureau on Saturday afternoon, it is said that flight security guard stopped efforts of an anti-revolution element to hijack the plane.
The statement added that in the last hours of Friday evening and in the passenger plane flight number 517, a person claimed he had a bomb and tried to hijack the plane for his intended destiny by creating panic.
It concluded that the hijacker was arrested and the plane came back to Tehran after its passengers got off the plane./end
