MOSCOW, November 24 (Itar-Tass) - China calls for developing
multilateral border economic relations with Russia, Chinese Prime Minister
Wen Jiabao said.
Opening the 5th Russian-Chinese economic forum on Wednesday, the
Chinese prime minister said, "The development of border economic relations
with Russia is China's strategic priority."
"Our common purpose is to improve living standards of the population
in the Far Eastern regions," Wen said.
In his opinion, in order to develop successful cooperation "it is
necessary to create more comfortable conditions for trade on national
markets, step up the construction of the infrastructure on trans-border
checkpoints and promote contacts in creating special economic zones".
