CABINET REVIEWS WINTER PREPARATION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ At the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, a Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Badamjunai presented a state of affairs in preparation for the 2010-2011 witer in the livestock husbandry sector.
The Government's assignment to prepare forage and hay goes with 52.6 percent in aimags and in capital city, and with 72 percent--at soums and metropolitan districts' levels.
The plan has been overfulfilled in the provinces of Bayan-Ulgii, Umnugobi, Sukhbaatar and Khentii.
Bulgan, Darkhan-Uul, Dornod, Uvurkhangai, Zavkhan, Tov, Hovd and Khuvsgul aimags have done at 3.1-35.5 percent, whereas Gobi-Altai aimag and Ulaanbaatar have managed to prepare nothing.
Due to lack of grazing lands and scarce hay, the wintering might get complicated in majority of soums of Umnugobi, Dornogobi, Uvs and Bayan-Ulgii aimag and in some soums of Dundgobi, Hovd and Uvurkhangai.
