RF, China to be ready to discuss gas contracts by mid 2011

ST. PTERSBURG, November 23 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and China will be
ready to discuss gas contracts's specific provisions by the middle of next
year, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin told reporters on Tuesday.
As for the prices of Russian gas, Sechin said, "the work is going on
according to the plan, which envisages signing real proposals
approximately in the middle of next year."
According to the deputy prime minister, "experts are in the process of
conducting a professional negotiating process."
"I believe that we will be ready to discuss the concrete parameters of
commercial contracts by the next summer."
He added that China "is a very interesting market where we should be
present by all means."
