Saleh and Afewerki hold Aden talks
ADEN, Nov. 23 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah
Saleh and his Eritrean counterpart Isaias Afewerki held talks on Tuesday in Yemen's
business
capital of Aden. They discussed the bilateral relationship and ways to strengthen
cooperation in all areas in the light of the outcomes of their last summit in
Asmara, with
a focus on activating the joint committees in areas such as fishing and trade
exchange. Moreover, they exchanged viewpoints towards regional issues topped by the
situation
in the African horn, and especially in Somalia, affirming their keenness to
coordinate efforts to serve their countries and the regional security and stability.
After the
talks, Afewerki left Yemen following his visit during which he attended the opening
ceremony of the 20th Gulf football cup on Monday. MD/FR
