Saudi Assistance worth $150 Million reaches victims of hurricane

Dhaka, August 06, SPA -- Within the framework of directives Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to
provide aid worth $150 million to provide relief to victims of
hurricane 'Cedar' in Bangladesh, a Saudi relief team of the Ministry
of Finance accompanied by a representative of the Royal Saudi Embassy
in Dhaka handed over construction materials to Disaster Management
officials in Saran khola Upazila, Southwest of Bangladesh.

The handing over ceremony was attended by the Governor of Bagerhat
District and other senior officials.

Bangladeshi officials, on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh,
expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and the Crown Prince for
the generous assistance, affirming that the Government of Saudi
Arabia has always been proactive to help their brothers in the Muslim
world as a whole and to stand by the government and people of
Bangladesh in specific.
