FIRST DEPUTY-MAYOR RECEIVED KOREAN DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The First Deputy-Mayor of Ulaanbaatar B.Baatarzorig received Thursday a delegation from South Korea led by a president of Korea Transportation Safety Authority Mr. Sangho Chung. They have arrived in Ulaanbaatar at invitation of the Ministry of Roads, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development.
At the meeting, B.Baatarzorigt highlighted the issue of transport security at a time when in the country is experiencing an increase in exploitation and transportation of mineral resources. "In particular, it is necessary to tighten the safety when main load is carried through the central roads of Ulaanbaatar," said Baatarzorigt.
Several days ago the representatives of the S.Korean Department, which is responsible for safety of transport of all types in their country, inked a cooperation memorandum with a leadership of the Ministry of Transport in the field of technical inspection.
"For time being, we do not have such an independent agency specializing in this direction, so we have a need to cooperate with you in the field of safety," said Baatarzorigt at a meeting with the delegation.
