PRESIDENT IN JAPAN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ "When selecting foreign investments, we put criteria such as to use nature-friendly hi tech, and to be responsible, transparent and open in work. As we think, all these are completely fulfilled by the Japanese investors," said the President November 17 at the Mongolia-Japan business forum.
"You are our trusted investors," he has said addressing 200 business people gathered.
Among the reasons, why "the Japanese may wish to invest Mongolia", the President has named "the unique relationship that have come from the soul of the two nations". "As an example, there are some 70 Mongolia-targeted friendship and cooperation societies In Japan, a number of these in Mongolia stands at 30. It is a specific feature seen in our ties only," he said.
The second reason was named as the "common values such as human rights, freedom, and the law-obeying market economy."
Mentioning that the Japanese always help Mongolia and its people starting from early 1990', he said,"I would like to tell you to come to Mongolia without wasting time and ahead of others."
Then he briefed on foreign investments policy regarding the biggest projects implemented in Mongolia.
Among the gathered were 50 representatives of Mongolian business sphere. Some useful reports were made by related officials from Mongolian side.

The President received the "Nippon" foundation's head Yo.Sasakava.
The foundation has helped Mongolia's education and health sectors, especially its "Vansemberuu" project has been fruitful being realized the last ten years in five aimags' 17 soums. Thanks to it, every family involved in the project has been supplied with medications, and illnesses' level as well as emergency calls have decreased by 20 percent. The sides have noted that this project is attracting an attention of several countries.
Apart of this, the foundation helps the Managament Academy, for example, by organizing tours to Japan for young politicians in order to improve their knowledge and strengthen trust between the two countries.
The President thanked Mr. Sasakava for these and other works and forwarded some proposals regarding, for instance, a cooperation in professional training.
