KAU establishes Osteoporosis Research Center

Jeddah, August 06, SPA -- King Abdulaziz University (KAU) has
recently established a Center of Excellence for Osteoporosis research
, to conduct new scientific researches related to the diagnosis,
treatment and management of osteoporosis in addition to the
development of researches in this area using different creative and
multi-faceted methods.

The new center comes under the KAU's scientific and scientific
research responsibilities as it is trying to become a distinct
international cooperative research center for osteoporosis (a disease
of bone that leads to an increased risk of fracture).


In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Abdullah Omar
Bafeel, KAU's Under Secretary for post graduate studies and
scientific researches said the Center
will adopt a culture of multiple performances between researchers and
research groups of King Abdulaziz University in its various colleges
in addition to universities, research centers and biotechnology
industry and society at the local and international levels.
