ZHUHAI (China), November 16 (Itar-Tass) -- Export deliveries of
Russian helicopters grew by 30 per cent this year. The information came
from the air show entitled Airshow China 2010, which opened here on
Tuesday.
"Russia continues to be a leader in a number of sectors of helicopter
building. Stable demand for Russian helicopters is proof of their high
efficiency and reliability," a representative of the press service of
Rosoboronexport told Itar-Tass.
Russia is displaying at the air show a wide range of helicopters. The
Mi group is represented by the Mi-35M transport-combat helicopter and the
Mi-171Sh military-transport helicopter.
The Mi-26T helicopter with the greatest cargo-lifting capacity in the
world is of special interest for China. It demonstrated its unique
potentialities during the putting out of fires and eliminating the
consequences of earthquakes in China. The latest model Mi-26T2 has a
smaller crew, than other helicopters. It is fitted with up-to-date
avionics, which permits to make flights at any time of day or night.
Specialists can also see at the air show the helicopters of the Kamov
group, including the general-purpose Ka-32 and Ka-226T helicopters, as
well as the Ka-31 helicopter for radar reconnaissance. Specialists devote
special attention to the Ka-52 combat helicopter. It has a reliable armour
and up-to-date armaments. The unique manoeuvrability permits the Ka-52
helicopters to make quick turns during combat operations, in order to
choose a better position for an attack, a representative of
Rosoboronexport said.
