SPEAKER MEETS RECTOR OF S.KOREAN UNIVERSITY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of Mongolia's parliament D.Demberel has received a S.Korean delegation headed by a rector of the Khan min unversity Cho Jon San.
At the meeting, which took place Tuesday, the Speaker noted that the Mongolia-S.Korean ties and cooperation have been deepening in frames of the two countries' ministries and organizations and uinderlined an importance of widening ties in the education sector, "for the Mongolians give an importance to having students studied in univercities of S.Korea that has develeped high edication and standards."
The head of the delegation has spoken about their university and said he wants to create a S.Korean-Mongolian cultural town at their university with aims to propagandize common features the two nations share. "And a sports facilities are planned to develop the Mongolian archery and horse racing," he added. Apart of this, the S.Korean side is seeking a partner from Mongolia's Khentii aimag to sign a cooperation document, to start a S.Korean "New Village" movement with a help of development organizations and to plant trees, he said.
"In the S.Korean-Mongolian town we want to train students from Mongolia's Darkhan-Uul and Khentii provinces through exchange line, and intend to organize the tree-planting as a constant action in order to fight the desertification," he went on.
The Speaker expressed a support to these suggestions adding that if they are realized, a big contribution will be made to expanding the ties and relations between the two states and their peoples.
